2025 wrapped: Looking back at Mayfield Garden Centre’s most memorable moments
As we reach the end of another wonderful year at Mayfield Garden Centre, we’re taking a moment to look back at everything that made 2025 so special. From community events to meaningful improvements across our shop and café, it’s been a year full of growth and connection.
Most of all, it’s been a year shaped by you: our visitors, customers, partners and friends here in Southampton. So, thank you for your ongoing support, and for continuing to be such an important part of our journey.
Our 2025 highlights
A year of events, workshops and seasonal fun
This year brought some of our most joyful events yet. Our Spring Fayre drew in families and seasoned gardeners alike, while our summer hanging basket workshop offered inspiration for colourful outdoor spaces.
We also had the pleasure of creating a flower stall at St.Michael’s Church during its Sinfoniette Summer Concert – we always cherish the chance to get out and about in our local communities.
We hosted our first thank you event to celebrate Volunteers’ Week this year too, featuring speeches and thanks from Solent Mind’s CEO Sally Arscott, cream tea, cards and awards recognising some of our most inspirational volunteers.

Finally, we were delighted to welcome both new and familiar faces to Mayfield Garden Centre for our Christmas and Craft Fayre: a festive day out, featuring live Christmas music, craft stalls and children’s activities.
New additions and improvements
At the beginning of this year, we completed a renovation of Mayfield Garden Centre’s shop and café. Plus, we enhanced our café menu. It’s been fantastic to watch people enjoying our new and improved space throughout 2025.

Community spirit at its best
Supporting people in our local community who might be experiencing mental health challenges has always been at the heart of what we do.
This wouldn’t have been possible without our visitors, volunteers or corporate partners, whose support and donations are invested back into helping others with their mental health and wellbeing through horticulture therapies.

Looking ahead to 2026
As we close our 2025, we want to extend one final thank you for being part of the Mayfield Garden Centre family. We have exciting plans taking root for the year ahead and, with your continued support, we hope 2026 will be an even brighter and more beautiful year together.
Warmest wishes,
The Mayfield Garden Centre team
