Our Garden Centre and Café are open to everyone

We stock a wide range of plants for your home and garden. If you’re looking for something specific, we may be able to order it for you, simply ask one of our friendly team!
We also have a small, independent fresh fruit and vegetable shop, along with a florist and dog grooming salon on site.

You can also unwind in our café after a stroll through Mayfield Park with coffee and cake - and be sure to bring your fluffy friends along, as dogs are welcome in our garden centre and café on leads.

We hope you enjoy your visit to Mayfield Garden Centre and every penny you spend goes to support our services that help people with mental health issues live the best possible lives and work towards recovery.

  • Finding a job
  • Leaving care
  • Adult mental health
  • Gender and sexuality
    ...and more.

We help people to grow

We are part of Solent Mind and our mission is to bring about positive change for people struggling with their mental health through gardening.

Through our schedule of wellbeing groups and training programmes we provide a place for people with mental health problems and learning disabilities to develop new skills and be part of a supportive, friendly community. We empower them to dramatically improve their mental health, confidence and self esteem.

We believe that gardening and spending time in nature have the power to transform lives:
